Where faith meets science

Theology and Neuroscience

Many people believe that faith and science are at odds, but I see them as two parts of the same whole. Neuroscience proves what theology has taught for centuries: that our brains are “plastic”—designed for renewal, transformation, and healing.

Whether you are navigating ADHD, anxiety, or chronic overwhelm, we can look at how your neurobiology intersects with your spiritual life. We don’t just talk about change; we look at how “the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2) is a physiological reality that can lead to lasting peace.

I meet people where they are along the path of spiritual formation- whether that’s in the middle, in a pit, at the beginning, or not interested in faith at all. For me to be your counselor, you do not have to be a believer. The same principles for growth and flourishing that I use, and that science teaches, can help you find breakthrough wherever you are.

Begin your faith-centered healing journey today.

Deep Roots

Healing often requires looking beneath the surface. Using a faith-integrated approach, we acknowledge that some burdens are not just mental, but spiritual.

  • Repentance as Realignment: Far from being a word of shame, repentance is the beautiful process of “turning back” to your true design. It is about identifying the patterns that no longer serve you and realigning your mind with God’s truth.

  • Deliverance & Freedom: I provide a safe, clinical, and prayerful space to address the spiritual strongholds that may be contributing to anxiety or feelings of being “stuck”, including past trauma and thinking patterns that are keeping you in bondage. True freedom comes when we address the root, not just the symptom.

Spiritual Formation

Building a resilient mind requires daily rhythm. Inspired by the work of John Mark Comer, I would love to help you learn how to incorporate Practices of the Way into your daily life. These ancient disciplines help us combat the hurry and overwhelm of modern life. We can explore how they act as “brain training” for the soul:

  1. Sabbath: Neurological rest for a restless mind.

  2. Solitude: Quieting the noise to hear the “still, small voice.”

  3. Prayer: The practice of communing with the Father and learning you are loved and heard.

  4. Fasting: Building self-regulation and impulse control.

  5. Scripture: Rewiring the brain’s narrative with Truth.

  6. Community: Healing the nervous system through safe connection.

  7. Generosity: Breaking the cycle of anxiety through outward focus.

Go Deeper in your faith and your healing

You don’t have to choose between a “clinical” therapist and a “spiritual” mentor.

You can have both. If you are ready to understand how your brain works and how your Creator designed you to heal, I am here to walk that path with you.
